Scattered bits from the Jedi Apprentice series, which obviously does not have Scout. Still, scraps of Jedi things are relevant to her.
Also, the Galactic Standard Calendar. There are five days in a week - Primeday, Centaxday, Taungsday, Zhellday, and Benduday. A month is seven weeks (thirty-five days). There are 368 days in a year - ten months, three fete weeks, three holidays. Days, hours, minutes, and seconds are as long as, and fit together in the same ways as Earth and all canons which use Earth calendars.
"Ours is not to know. Ours is to do" don't question a Master's judgment or try to force them to explain.
"We give up many things when we choose this life. We are destined to have no home, no measurable power." (though there's a sense of home in the Master-Padawan bond and sharing thoughts is a good early sign)
Patience! Activity can endanger. To wait and watch is the more difficult task, but it's got to be mastered. Impatience in battle is an enemy. Seem unhurried but move fast.
The apprentice accepts the danger when the master accepts the apprentice. Loyalty. Matching footsteps.
"We are not saints, but seekers."
Classic exercise: Attention to the Moment Gives Knowledge. Remember things the eyes registered when the mind didn't. Startlingly detailed.
If routine you count on, disappointed your hopes will be. It is better to expect nothing and let each moment surprise you.
The state called restful-sleep-in-danger, eyes closed but a corner of the mind alert at all times.
Make the decision, make another. Remake one past, you cannot.
Nothing is lost where the Force dwells, and the Force is everywhere.
First day in the temple. "Far to come, far to go it is. Cold and warm, it is. Seek what you are looking for, you will. Find it here, you shall. Listen." Fountains, river, wind chimes in the kitchen garden. Dusk falls slowly.
Every sense should be brought to bear on the surroundings, helps with the Force. Study as Jedi study, without seeming to.
Responding to an apologetic attacker: Save your sorrow. I don't need it.
When outnumbered, surprise is your best ally.
A Jedi's heart can be moved, but her duty is to remain unbiased and calm.
Awareness of fear can protect you if it does not overtake you. It's an instinct warning you to be careful.
Eliminate pride, substitute humility and sureness. Pride is often based in arrogance.
Admonishing a Padawan - first describe the offense without judgment, neutrally. Have the Padawan admit that this is true.
Standing and stretching each muscle, the exercise called "stationary movement", keeps you awake ad muscles fluid.
You can't prevent what you can't see coming. You can only do what you think is right at each moment as you live it.
Remember without guilt and sorrow; memories in great detail uncolored by narratives/subjective memory issues.
When you don't know your own mind, you can easily fill it with someone else's beliefs.
The Temple is so quiet, but there are still sounds - laughter behind closed doors, excited young children, fountains. Busy souls going about their day.
You can't have what you were/lost again. You're made different by each moment, and each decision has a cost. A decision is yours alone to make, but remember that you also make it for the silent ones at your shoulder. (repurcussions)
The Jedi path is hard, and commitment must be absolute.
Not age but ability marks a turning point.
Young children have caretakers who aren't full Jedi. Even two-and-three year olds are already trained to be calm in crises, to be trusting.
Those chosen by Jedi give up their birthrights. The Temple is home. This way their loyalties aren't divided, conflicted, exploited. They commit to the larger, deeper connection of the Force. It's very unusual for an older student to spontaneously mention or even think of their parents.
You're a Jedi. You will focus, you will reach your calm center. Do not try to tamp down the fear, just don't let it grip you. Let it move through you, and it will leave. Breathe.
What you revere can destroy you.
Sitting in the corner of a room looking out, to watch without participating. If you want to leave someplace unobserved, pick the busiest spot.
In captivity, do muscle stretches to stay limber, and meditate. Keep mind organized, spirit calm, and body strong.
Life does not treat you fairly or unfairly. It just is. It's up to people to be fair or unfair.
Being treated like a child = being treated like a "fourth-year student at the Temple".
Expression of sympathy: acknowledge the pain, then give something to focus on. Don't dwell on your mistakes unless they have lessons to give.
The fear of looking like a fool is rooted in weakness. Don't let it be your reason to do or not do something.
